Fresh Air Without The Energy Bill

Energy Recovery Ventilation

An ERV brings filtered outside air into a tight home and recovers the heating and cooling you already paid for.

Find out what it’ll cost

Tell us what’s going on. The owner reads every message and gets back to you, usually same day.

Free, no-obligation first visit. CA licensed & insured.

Newer and well-sealed homes hold onto stale air, and that shows up as stuffiness, lingering cooking smells, and window condensation. An energy recovery ventilator fixes it by continuously swapping stale indoor air for filtered fresh air, while a heat-exchange core hands most of the temperature and humidity back to the incoming air so you are not throwing away the heating or cooling you just paid for.

The unit itself is only half the job. An ERV lives or dies on how it is wired, controlled, and tied into your home, and that electrical and control side is where we come in. We set the unit, wire the power and controls, and dial in the run so you get steady fresh air without a noticeable hit to your comfort or your utility bill.

What our energy recovery ventilation covers

  • Whole-home fresh-air ventilation
  • Heat and humidity recovery between air streams
  • Filtered incoming air, quieter than exhaust fans
  • Wiring, power, and control integration
  • Balanced for tight, well-sealed homes
  • Set up to run without spiking your bill

How energy recovery ventilation works with us

Every energy recovery ventilation job starts the same way: we come look at what you actually have. There is no charge to find out what you need, and there is no pressure. We walk the situation, ask how you use the space, and then explain in plain language what the work involves and exactly what it’ll cost before anything begins.

Because we are owner-operated, the person who looks at your energy recovery ventilation project is the same person who performs it. Nothing gets handed off to a rotating crew, and nothing gets quoted by someone who never sees the job. That continuity is why our work holds up and why so much of our business comes from repeat clients and referrals across Sonoma County.

What to expect on the day

We show up when we say we will, protect your floors and finishes, and keep the work area clean. When a energy recovery ventilation job needs a permit, we pull it and handle the inspection, so the work is documented and safe. When we leave, the site is tidy and you know exactly what was done and why. You always have a direct line back to the owner if a question comes up later.

We also take the time to answer your questions while we are there. Part of doing energy recovery ventilation right is making sure you understand what changed and how to get the most out of it, whether that is how a circuit is protected, how a control is programmed, or what to watch for down the road. You are never left guessing, and if something needs attention later, you reach the same person who did the work, not a call center.

Local knowledge that shows up in the work

After more than a decade wiring homes across Sonoma, Marin, Napa, and Solano counties, we know how the local grid behaves, which permit desks want what, and how Wine Country homes are actually built. That experience is what lets us diagnose a energy recovery ventilation situation quickly and get it right the first time, instead of learning on your dime.

Energy Recovery Ventilation for North Bay homes

Sonoma County properties are not interchangeable. A century-old farmhouse in Sebastopol, a hillside home above Healdsburg, and a fresh build in Windsor each ask for a different approach. We bring over a decade of local knowledge to every energy recovery ventilation job, so the result fits the home, meets current California code, and stands up to how you actually use it. If you have been putting off energy recovery ventilation because you were not sure who to trust, this is the kind of work we built our name on.

Why it pays to do it right

Cutting corners on electrical work is the most expensive kind of saving. A energy recovery ventilation job done to a price instead of a standard tends to come back as a callback, a failed inspection, or worse. Our diagnostic approach and meticulous craftsmanship cost a little more attention up front and save you the repeat visits later, which is why homeowners across Sonoma County keep calling us and referring us to their neighbors.

Good to Know

Energy Recovery Ventilation questions

What does an ERV actually do?
It continuously replaces stale indoor air with filtered outdoor air, and recovers most of the heat and humidity so you keep the comfort you paid for.
Do I need one?
Tighter, newer homes benefit most, especially if you notice stuffiness, condensation, or lingering odors. We help you decide honestly.
Is it the same as an exhaust fan?
No. An exhaust fan just dumps air out and pulls unconditioned air in. An ERV balances the exchange and recovers energy.
Will it raise my energy bill?
Very little, because the recovery core hands most of the temperature back. That trade-off is the whole point of an ERV over plain ventilation.
Do you handle the wiring and controls?
Yes. The electrical, power, and control integration is exactly our part of the job, and we set it up to run correctly.
What areas do you cover?
Santa Rosa and all of Sonoma County, plus Marin, Napa, and Solano.
